Saturday Rock Blog: Steal Gold Away
Gold looks bullish to me. The important levels are seen in this three year weekly chart, $120, $140, $160, and $180. In other words, right here at $160 looks like a great buy. Target $180 initially, then alot higher.

Sunday Rock Blog: Last Friday Night in DC
With stocks set to 'melt up' into the end of 2017 in the most epic 'Santa Claus' rally of all time, the market is beautifully bullish charts galore. There's almost no point in posting a chart because they all look like great buys. Its is truly a sight to behold and one of those rare times when unbridled 'uber mega bullishness' is warranted.
Ok I'll say it, we are in a bubble! The problem with bubbles is that they get better and better until they don't, and when they don't its a massacre. So enjoy it while it lasts! Will it last into 2018? Almost certainly. Will it pop in 2018? Maybe. No one knows, but I want to see interest rates alot higher, and the actual effects of fiscal stimulus felt, before I will call a top.
Anyone who wants to call a top here based on charts should simply look at bitcoin and ask themselves where the top was. I do think we are in for a lot more upside here, especially now that congress is finally getting its act together. With the passage of the most significant fiscal stimulus in 30 years, the markets should have support to rip higher into 2018. The bars and houses in DC Republican homes must have been quite the party on Friday night, after the bill finally passed at 2am ET.
Disclosure: I own calls on SPY, IWM, QQQ, and many other stocks.

Saturday Rock Blog: Happy Birthday ICE
ICE went public on Nov. 16th, 2005 at a split-adjusted price of $5.2. With ICE currently in the $66 range, it's rallied almost 1200% in the past twelve years!
WOW! The company has really delivered on growth.
It still looks bullish to me. Disclosure: I own ICE calls.

Saturday Rock Blog: Big Poppa (Q's)
This market is just, wow. Amazing. Seems to be just getting started again. The 1.5 yr pattern on the weekly QQQ chart above targets about $143, which is about 10% higher. Many folks, now convinced the rally is real, want a pullback so they can get in. I see this running away from them, with the rally intensifying. People will start to panic buy and then we'll form a capitulation top. Still not there yet. Watch for several >2% up days in a row.
Disclosure: I own QQQ calls. Good luck!

Post-Election Rock Blog: Small Cap Starboy
Stunning move following the election. We're probably due for a pullback at some point but there's plenty of room to run over the next year or two. Congrats to the bulls on this amazing rally in the small caps. Finally!

Sunday Rock Blog: Once In a While We Enter Raging Bull Market Mode (IWM)
Looks like last leg up in this new bubble/bull market is getting started. Bull markets usually have the biggest gains at the beginning and the end. Remember what it was like in 2008-2010 after the lows? I bet the fed will have to radically raise interest rates before this is over, and clearly we're a ways from that. The fed continues to take the attitude that asset prices are not in bubble territory (yet). We are at least one year out from that, probably more like 2-3 years out. I think the upside could get pretty crazy, more so than the dot com bubble. I've been looking at charts all morning and they all look bullish. Small caps lead, and it looks they'll break out to new all time highs soon ($126+). I'm going to load up on calls. As a side note, if Hillary gets elected Wall street will love it, they'll go bonkers. Santa Claus rally of a generation coming.
"Wave 5: Wave five is the final leg in the direction of the dominant trend. The news is almost universally positive and everyone is bullish. Unfortunately, this is when many average investors finally buy in, right before the top. Volume is often lower in wave five than in wave three, and many momentum indicators start to show divergences (prices reach a new high but the indicators do not reach a new peak). At the end of a major bull market, bears may very well be ridiculed (recall how forecasts for a top in the stock market during 2000 were received)." -from Wikipedia
Full Disclosure: I am long small caps, including IWM via stock and options.

Saturday Rock Blog: (The S&P 500 Keeps Lifting) Higher and Higher
The trend is clear: yep, still UP! Recent consolidation in the markets looks like yet another great buying opportunity in this ~7 yr bull market. For those who claim the market has to eventually top, typically, the best gains of a bull market come at the beginning and the end. Besides, secular bull markets don't end with interest rates at 0% and energy hella cheap. The S&P-tracking ETF SPY seems to be targeting about $245. If I'm wrong, SPY will spend a few weeks below its rising 40 week moving average, currently $206.50, and the 10 week average, currently $209 will cross under. The party at the end of the bull market hasn't even begun yet, staying long here.
Disclosure: I'm not long SPY, but plenty of other stuff. Love the small caps.
